BT-9 Specifications
The Biotuner operates from a regular 9-volt alkaline battery. One may also use a rechargeable NiMH battery. The underlying frequency for all six operating modes is 1,000 Hz. (+/- 1 Hz.) pulse-modulated by 111.11 Hz. (+/- 1 Hz.). Waveforms are Quartz Crystal-Controlled for precise frequency output. There are also a broad range of frequency harmonics delivered in each pulse. Pulses are Bi-Phasic (AC) with no direct current (DC) or offset bias. Output is transformer coupled so that no DC can appear at electrodes. The algebraic sum of positive and negative-going pulses is zero. The BT-9 feature a constant voltage ouput so you don't need to keep turning up the voltage dial as the battery drains.

What Setting Should I Use
The Biotuner uses a specially designed electronic waveform that contains hundreds of frequency points or harmonics. This eliminates the need for individual frequency adjustments as a complete balancing effect is given without the need for constant manual adjustment. When choosing a setting, it is important to note that due to the internal programming of the BT-9 ALL of the settings share an underlying frequency of 1,000.00 Hz., which is then pulsed out or interrupted by the 111Hz. pulse repetition rate, (along with the hundreds of frequency harmonics). Therefore, all six settings share this feature in common. So, you should expect very positive results regardless of the setting that is selected. Feel free to test out all six of the Biotuner settings to see which one feels most comfortable for you.

Note that settings 1, 2, 3, have a pulse duration of 550 microseconds and settings 4, 5, and 6 have a pulse duration of 220 microseconds. This represents the active ON time of the pulse. We do not have any published research that would support the use of one pulse width setting over the other. The underlying waveform of the BT-9 is the same, regardless of the setting you select. This means that any of the six settings will provide a broad spectrum of frequency harmonics and all of them will work! Just find the setting that feels best to you.
(1) 111.11 Hz - this was the single setting for the original BT-5 model. It includes hundreds of harmonics. This pulse repetition rate is actually present in all six settings.
(2) 1 sec. ON / 1 sec.
OFF - this is a 0.5Hz. pulse interruption and also contains hundreds of harmonics
(3) 7.83 Hz - this is a pulse interuption rate that is sometimes referred to as a Schumann Resonance frequency
What is the Best Time of Day to Use BT-9
It is alright to use the biotuner any time of day. However, due to the body's daily variations in Bio-rhythms, etc. your responses to the biotuner may vary according to the time of day it is used. Feel free to use the biotuner at various times of day to see what works best for you. It is important to use the BT-9
each day for 2 to 3 weeks in order to assess your progress.
There is no need to repeat the entire 2 to 3 weeks if you happen to skip
a day or two. Following the initial series of sessions, BT-9 may
be used on occasion as desired to maintain the initial improvements.
Some improvements are more long term before additional
sessions are desired. Other gains may be relatively temporary and can benefit by more frequent reinforcement. Individual results will vary.
How Fast Will I Notice Results
Typically, one should use the BT-9 once a day for 30 to 60 minutes per day. This should be kept up for two to three weeks. Most people will begin to notice a greater level of relaxation by the second or third session. Sometimes people are a little bit out of touch with their own internal process and others around them actually become aware of the changes before the user is aware of them.
Possible Side Effects
Earclip Sensitivity - some individuals may be very sensitive to the output of the earclips on the earlobes. Start out with the intensity dial at a low level the first few days. There is no need to "crank up" the intensity levels in order to achieve beneficial results. It is very normal for the body to adapt or accommodate to the energy levels. After a few minutes, you may not feel the micropulsing on the skin. If the intensity dial is turned up, then you will feel it once again. It is not necessary to continually increase the levels throughout the session. In some very sensitive individuals, turning the power level all the way to maximum could irritate the skin. Remember, when it comes to the intensity setting, more is not necessarily better. Before using the Biotuner, remove any earrings and remove any body oils, makeup, etc. from the earclip area. This will produce a better earclip contact with the skin.
